Dear IVA High Families:
We are so excited for the start of the 2022-2023 school year at IVA High! Welcome back returning families! And a big welcome to our new families who are joining our IVA High community. We can't wait for the start of the school year on August 30th!
As the summer comes to a close, our staff are preparing their curriculums and classrooms for the start of the school year. This week our staff will be reflecting on our school's mission and vision as they start to imagine what this year can hold for our community. We are offering new classes based on student interests including Visual Art, Forensic Science, Science Fiction as Literature, and Finite Math Honors (math in the world). We are excited to introduce you to our new teachers. Stay tuned for more details about their professional education and experience, passions, and roles within our community.
Returning students please pick up your Chromebook and schedule on August 25th, 10:00 a.m.-1 p.m. If this time does not work for you, please email info@academylongbeach.org or call 562-283-4456 to schedule an appointment.
New students will participate in our New Student Orientation on August 29th, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Students will receive their chromebook, get their schedule, meet their teachers, and peers. This event is hosted and led by our student leadership team.
